Aunt Jessica came home for spring break! we had a blast spending time with her.
Grandma took us to the childrens zoo and we got to get up close and personal with animals like chickens, guinea pigs, goats ... so much fun!

It was a long wait, this crazy day at the Zoo, but we finally got to ride on the train, which of course is Jack's favorite part of the zoo.... animals, what animals?

We got to go to the Moolah Shrine Circus again this year with Jack's speech therapy clinic. It was a blast! we saw all kinds of trained animals doing cool tricks (dogs, bears, tigers, elephants...) tight rope walkers, trapeze artists, and much more!

Last night, Brianna came up to me and said "mommy, do you know what the turtle said?" "In the movie he said 'friends call me speed'". The face she made, and the way she said it, cracked me up. This morning we were joking about it and laughing so hard that she couldn't get it out. I thought I'd share.

So "clear up your minds" and giggle with us!

Nursery! what a sweet and glorious day!

Wa-hoo... sniff sniff...
Today I left Megan in Nursery for the first time. We've been visiting, here and there, for the last few weeks, getting used to the idea. She's not officially in there for two more weeks, but the kid hates sunday school and is a huge distraction in YW. So today, after fighting with her in the halls for too long, I took her down, got her a snack, and waved bye-bye. The teachers assured me they can handle a crying kid... and I left....! I think I may have skipped down the hallway just a little. When I picked her up, she was rocking on the horse and didn't want to get up. Teacher said she only cried until the door finished closing, and then no problem. We waved bye-bye, and said see ya next week! What a sweet and glorious day!!!

Friday, when Jack was watching the Florida game with dad, he decided something.
"When I play football, I don't want to be the guy with the ball."
"why?"
"Because he's always the guy at the bottom of the pile! That looks like it hurts. I want to be the guy on top of the pile."

He's a thinker.

Happy New Year 2010!

We had a nice evening out at our friends house. It was cut a little short due to an encounter with some peanut butter (a little scary, but she survived), so we came home in time to celebrate the New Year with the east coast. Off to bed kids, it's way past your bed time!

What's going to work? Teamwork!

Megan: "Let go of me!"

Matt: "Jack, come help me hold megan down for this"

Jack: "Eew, it stinks! Somebody come plug my nose for me!"

Brianna: "You're right, this one is stinky!"

Megan: " I said... let go of me! Why are you all laughing? why is the camera? LET GO OF ME!!!!!"

We made our first snowman of the season. The snow wasn't too deep, but it was packable and great for sledding.


Megan loved sledding. The only downside, it's hard to get up and out of the sled quickly enough before your impatient brother or sister dumps you out the side!

Megan kept wandering off. Jack is such a good big brother, he'd go help her up, over and over on her way back to the house.

Getting up is tricky when you can't bend your limbs

By that afternoon, the sun had come out and warmed things up a bit and Frosty took a nose dive. That night temps dropped and have stayed frigid, so Frosty remains in his frozen puddle and will so, until we get warm enough for me to go out and rescue him. (tonight, low of 2 degrees, tomorrow, high of 19 degrees. Brrr!)
