NAET, a bit of hope

So, in our quest to find help for Megan, and her all her food allergies, we stumbled upon a blessing. We came across some information on a method of allergy elimination. It seemed a little odd, different than anything I'd ever heard of. I was skeptical at first, but then, "coincidentally" there just happend to be a story on the local news about this treatment. If there is a way to eliminate Megan's allergies, that is safe and un-invasive and the only thing we risk losing is a little time and a little money then I can't not try it. Her first appointment was last wednesday and we'll find out monday if she's still allergic to eggs. Here's a link to the video of the news story, and a link to the official NAET website. My son the mini mogul

Jack lost tooth number "3" and the tooth fairy came through for him. "One dollar plus 4 coins, now I'm rich!"

Megan was standing at the windowsill, looking out the window (and loving it) when I got grossed out by the dirt and bugs collecting under her fingernails (from the outside of the glass but inside the screen) I asked Jack if he'd like to be helpful. Jack is (almost) always up for an opportunity to be helpful. He got out the wipes and the vacuum hose and went to work. He then moved to the next bedroom and then to the 3rd window when I came in and offered him 2 quarters for every window he did. He got so excited and went right to work. Six windows later I was so proud of his hard work and attention to detail. I paid him twelve quarters then suggested he "buy" dollars from me for 4 quarters each. As he was counting his money and adding it to his toothfairy money I asked if he wanted to "buy" one more dollar with the 4 quarters the toothfairy brought him..." You're not getting these coins, Mom!" I love my littlest man!

This is the sparking clean window sill in Megan's room. Now she can watch the kids play outside without the bugs and dirt under her fingernails!

Some firsts!

Megan has had some notable firsts in the past few weeks. She's just a little flower blossoming each day. The other day we were at Grandma and Grandpa McLaws' and Grandpa had to leave for a meeting. As we were saying goodbye, Megan, out of the blue waved goodbye to him. At first we weren't sure if she did it on purpose, but then she waved goodbye to Aunt Jessica. She's been waving goodbye ever since. Her favorite time is to wave goodbye to Daddy every morning as he's walking out the door.

Also, Megan loves to make noises. Loud ones are the best, and the chapel in the church has great sound quality. Many in our ward have noticed Megan's desire to vocalize her excitement about being at church. We, in turn have been quick to "Shhsh" her. Well, last sunday she "Shhsh'd" me back. Well, it was more of a little blow (imagine blowing out candles... gently). So cute!

The other day, I was holding Megan in my lap on the couch. Lovin' on baby is so much fun! I was kissing her cheeks, tummy, hands, and feet. Then, she returned the favor. She mimicked me by smacking her little lips together trying to make the same kissing noises I was. What a funny little girl!

Megan has also figured out how to pull to standing. At first she grabbed the top of the laundry basket and got up on her knees, then she got onto her little toes and stuck her bum in the air in a Yoga like (downward facing dog) position. Well, the basket was empty, so you can imagine what happened next. It's so sad when a 9 month old's pride is hurt. We quickly learned to store all our basket's upside down. Now she's pulling up on anything that's not two tall and will gladly stand at anything she can get help up to.

I also have to note how sweet and cute Brianna is in this video. She absolutely loves her baby sister and has so much fun entertaining her. They make quite the two-some.
