A Thanksgiving worth being thankful for

Uncle Clint, who has been in Iraq with the 101st Airborne for 18 months was able to come home on Thanksgiving day. Our family along with Grandma and Grandpa Jensen and Aunt Christy's family all went down to Kentucky for the welcome home ceremony. We got to spend the evening before together, going out to dinner, and swimming in the hotel pool. That morning we got up early, and made our way to Fort Campbell. Since they were flying straight in from Iraq, we had to be there a couple of hours early so we could be there when the plane arrived. This was such a memorable Thanksgiving for our family. We are thankful for freedom, safety, and family

Jack is my SUPER 5 year old. He's Sweet and thoughtful, crazy and silly, He's my favorite 5 year old in the whole world.

A Day on the Old Bishop Farm

The kids thought the conveyor belt up to the top of the silo was way cool

Brianna had a nice long ride in the combine (almost fell asleep) with "Farmer Dan" while the others rode atop the soybean wagon

Farming is hard work

We have some friends who live on an family farm. We thought a "field trip" of sorts would be a great way to spend the day. First we had a picnic lunch with a "real farmer". Then we all got plenty of turns on the combine and some even went on a ride with the soybeans down the road to the grain bins. Talk about your wagon ride on steroids! The kids had a blast and got to see some things most kids only read about in books.

Fall Leaves

Fall is leaving us here in Missouri, which leaves us feeling a little bummed. We love the beauty of the autumn leaves, the cool crisp afternoons, and the excitment of the holidays aproaching.
