It's like it's my birthday two days in a row!
Well, we've had problems with water coming through a small crack in our basement. Last weekend it finally got fixed. The first day there was a backhoe digging out the dirt along our foundation and then the second day they came and tarred the foundation and with a bobcat, filled the hole with a pipe, gravel, straw, topsoil, and then the thick "plastic clay" on top. Jack and Brianna were enthralled. The man asked me "what do they do for entertainment when we're not here?" Jack told the man "for my birthday coming up, I want you to wash all your machines and paint them like spiderman then bring them to my party for all my friends to have a ride on." Well buddy, that ain't gonna happen, but he did get to ride in the bobcat and help smooth out some gravel!
An Aunt is a wonderful thing
It was so great having Aunt Jessica come up and visit two weekends in a row. She was so helpful with the kids and around the house. She does dishes, draws roads with sidewalk chalk and jumps on the trampoline. She even stayed at the house one night while all three little ones were in bed, so Matt and I could go catch a quick movie on a mini-date. She held Megan so much that I found myself asking how I survive when she's not here, and I'm sure she wonders who holds the crying kids when she's not here. Thanks Aunt Jess! We love you!

Jack and I were outside one afternoon and found this little friend
"Let's make him walk the plank!"
"I want to keep him in a box until next garbage truck day" (that's how he measures a week)
I heard that when they are this black and fuzzy this time of year it means it will be hard winter
We dropped him and he rolled into a little circle. We eventually got him to "un-roll" again
He got away while we were compiling grass and leaves for his home in the box. Yay for the catapiller!
